- Toni did an awesome job of getting the Library Center (South Campbell) reserved for us on Wednesday, Sept. 17th. We can get in to set up starting at 1:00. We will start with a reception/snack time at 1:30 and start round tables at 2:00. We will plan to finish about 3:30ish . We have the library center until 4:30. I will do a mass email hopefully by the end of the week to let everyone know the details. Remember that each group leading a table discussion needs to come up with a catchy nautical name and send that back to me so I can send it to Valerie.
- Also, I still need names of new principals to contact for our event, so send those my way please.
- Round table leaders are:
- Tracey and Mike: Public relations, parent and staff communication and community involvement/contacts
- Rhonda and Teri: Staff-documentation, evaluations, staff motivators, building climate, handbooks, policies, etc.
- Ed and Annette: New Principal Tips-documentation, learning to pace yourself, RtI, at-risk, discipline
- Toni and Jyl: Legal issues, politics of your community and school, acronyms to know (PBS, PBTE, MAP, MSIP, etc.)
- Tammy and Sheila: SOS: Where do I get help? MAESP, NAESP, mentors, southwest colleagues, how to get help within the school setting, etc.
- Refreshments will be organized by Kathy Claxton, Lori Sechler, Mary Gregory
- Flyer: Tracey Hankins ( for a mailing the first of Sept)
- We voted to have a drawing for a free membership for a first time principal for MAESP.

- We have a few exe. committee changes that we approved:
- Ed Elsea will be a MAESP rep.
- LeAnn Edington will be our secretary
- Marcie Chadwell and Wendy Moeller will be joining us as board members.
