HI Southwest Members:
  It is time for our great southwest to select a candidate for the Distinguished Principals Program.  Nominees will be taken until October 9th, 2009.  If you would like to nominate one of your fellow colleagues please see the criteria listed below: 

The nominee:
-is an active principal of a school in which a commitment to excellence is clearly evident
-has been an active principal for at least 5 years
-will be an active principal during the year in which he/she will receive the award
-is an active member of MAESP and professional associations (NAESP) and
-shows evidence of increased or consistently high levels of student achievement as demonstrated on the state -wide assessment instrument

Please submit the name of your nominee along with the school he/she is currently a principal to Annette.
